Its a Betsy rip-off & not a very good one at that (granted the Betsy series has tanked the last few books). I really was looking forward to a new vamp series but this one isn't it. How many times do I have to read about a "designer" shoe, outfit, etc. Who cares???? Give me a story with likeable characters that are interesting ~ not so one-dimensional. Definitely not reading the next one.
The title for this review is my primary reason for hating this novel. It's only the dread of reading those four words yet again that has stopped me from going back through the book and counting the extraordinary number of times this phrase was used. It's not witty catch phrase, nor is it quirky, it's just very lazy writing. Ditto the unnecessary descriptions of garments with 'aspirational' labels - product placement in movies is one thing, but this was just boring to read, and smelled suspiciously of author hoping to cash in. The majority of characters were thinly devised and one dimensional. But the worst part of this book is that there are flashes of really good work, but it seems the rush to push out product (no doubt to top up the handbag fund) resulted in a poorly finished job.
MJD's Undead series is light, funny froth. This isn't.
I love this author and this series of books. she has a lot of humor and fun wit in her writing. I enjoyed it very much!

Have read the whole series and just loved them all. Highly recommend them, very fun read! I have read her other series too.
Witty lighthearted fun and steamy chemistry between Lil and Ty continued through the rest of the books. The author does not purposely draw out or leave cliffhangers to torture us nor does she wrap and tuck every loose end. I have read all of the books and it really is a great series. Right up there with the Queen Betsy books.
not much excitment in this book, i have read ALOT of the vampire novels and this one just did not do it for me, the story dragged and there was not much in excitment or steamy senes that most of them have. was dissapointed in this one. I recommend the Glory st Clair series instead. That one makes you laugh out loud and enjoy the hot senes.
