This has some clever wordplay here and there but for the most part it reads like a description of a long role-playing game session, in that the characters mainly progress from one battle to another. I wish it were more of a parody of the original book.

The author of Chainsaw Alice In Wonderland promised the Steampunk Community a version of Alice in Wonderland that would be the sickest steampunk horror book ever written. By introducing sex, language and violence into Alice's New Wonderland, he delivered his promise. He introduced a tougher, no nonsense Alice personality, who wouldn't back down from anyone or anything and gave tougher then she got! Nevertheless, along the way to fulfilling his promises, the author did more then give a shock factor to the New Wonderland. He developed intricate and interesting descriptive characters, like the weasel with his weird sense of humor. At every turn, he injected unique personality into each character in The Deck of Cards. Everyone immediately thinks about The Queen of Hearts saying , "Off With Their Heads!" But has anyone ever heard about The Yellow King who wielded a preserved human heart, that had been preserved for 99 years in a cask of cognac?Have you heard about The Black Knight with a helmet in the shape of a ravens head or the young girl with two large bells in her hair and another on a choker? By the way, there is a nice picture in the book of the bell girl along with over 50 other illustrations for your pleasure. How about the Rogue Card, the Nine of Hearts she wore a suit of white leather armor bearing the traditional nine heart pattern and a helmet with a black horsehair crest. Details, details, details. the old saying the proof is in the pudding, meaning to fully test something you need to experience it. Again, I reiterate, along the way, the author weaves a fascinating, descriptive world of characters, for the new Alice to journey through in the New Wonderland. Chainsaw Alice in Wonderland is a fabulous platform for the author to "shine" in using his exemplary command of the English language. You will be drawn into the details of this book and feel like you fell down the rabbit hole, with Alice, and you must keep reading on to encounter and savor another intriguing character along the road of the New Wonderland.
'This novel is touted as the sickest steampunk horror book ever written. I'm not sure if I'd agree with that statement, but the author goes a long way to try to back it up with a heaping helping of cum and gore. There are things in this book that I've not run across in another book to date, I'm just not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing for some of it.

This is not the Alice you grew up with, but she's an interesting character to say the least. She is a chrononaut who falls down an unmarked dimensional time rift which transports her to Wonderland. Aside from several twisted versions of the traditional characters, the author introduces us to many new characters. Some of them help flesh out the story nicely, such as the Dirty Weasel who becomes Alice's traveling companion; the author infused a lot of his own personality and odd humor into creating this character who plays off Alice's straightforward personality well.

Most of the various kingdoms are at war and there is a big corporate takeover in the works. There are odd Gods with their own agendas, as well as characters to save. Throughout all this, there is plenty of hand to hand combat. Yes, some includes Alice and her trusty chainsaw! Fire fights and magic battles that even introduce a cum elemental are some of the things to look forward to.

There is also sex to be had but not as much as I was expecting to find, not that it's a bad thing either way. Be careful, though, if the Mad Hatter offers you a drink; it may not be your cup of tea.

I was surprised and impressed with some of the wordsmithing in this book; the author did a nice job of turning a phrase in a few areas.

Overall I found it a fun but bumpy romp through Wonderland, one I'd happily revisit if future stories of Alice deem to make an appearance. Try the insanity, it's delicious!
This book is just a string of semi-witty remarks that degenerates into complete gibberish as it goes on. It is as if the author is sitting in a room full of people with whom he is sharing obscure, inside jokes that only one person gets at a time. I am sure that if you are inside his head it is hilarious.
Overall, I like the concept of the book a lot, and the writing style is pretty good, for the most part. Where it falls apart for me is all of the characters that were introduced for seemingly no reason at all. They felt like cameos of OC characters from some forum, and the interactions with them were pointless. The ending also leaves much to be desired and solves nothing in the plot. There isn't a twist either, just a hurried explanation of something that was not foreshadowed nor set up at all in advance. The majority of the book feels like filler. Still going with 3 stars because it was entertaining for an afternoon and the concept and word play were pretty descent.
This has some clever wordplay here and there but for the most part it reads like a description of a long role-playing game session, in that the characters mainly progress from one battle to another. I wish it were more of a parody of the original book.
